Treasure Hunter of the Occult

Having joined the priests of the New Religion to help protect the hidden artifacts of the Old One, the treasure hunter set out to find the Book of the Deep along with High Priest Octo. On their journey, he kept influencing the Priest’s mind every night when he slept. Summoning his mind-controlling servants to plant ideas of preservation of the ancient artifacts and lowering his defenses for when they found the library of forbidden knowledge. For weeks he led him to false locations until he deemed his conviction was weak enough to allow him to enter one of the sacred sanctuaries of the Old One. When they arrived the treasure hunter told him he was too afraid to enter, and the gullible man believed him. Now all he had to do was wait back at the harbor. Once the head of the New Religion was turned to a cultist, he joined the treasure hunter at the tower of the Occult, having become the vessel of one of the strongest artifacts, the Book of the Deep.
